Are you eating enough?
Low protein intake can slow down your metabolism. I have found the majority of women that I work with are dealing with some form of an imbalanced metabolism. Higher protein intake is critical to speeding up a sluggish metabolism! And, most women aren’t eating nearly enough. Increasing protein can do wonders for your hormonal health!
Protein becomes the most important macronutrient as we age. That’s because, as we age, our bodies require more protein to preserve muscle mass, keep us healthy, reduce recovery time from illness, and improve overall quality of life.
A higher protein intake as you age is associated with improved glucose regulation and reduction in metabolic diseases, like diabetes. Protein keeps us satiated and helps stabilize our blood sugar.
Many women benefit greatly from adding more protein to their day, especially if they struggle with low energy, fatigue, cravings after a meal, are physically active, are wanting to build muscle, or are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you want to build muscle, lose fat, keep your immune system strong, and have consistent energy, then you should be eating at least 0.8-1 gram of protein per pound of ideal body weight. Every. Single. Day.
For reference, one egg has just 6 grams of protein. So, you'd need to eat almost 20 eggs to get to 115 grams of protein! If it seems more manageable, start by aiming for 30 grams of protein at breakfast and see how this changes your day.
Clearly, getting enough protein is incredibly important. But how in the world do you hit your target protein count (without spending a fortune or endless hours in the kitchen)?
Getting enough might seem impossible, but it's actually easy when you add Prime Protein to your diet. Just one scoop has 21g of protein! This is the tool that I use to help me meet my daily protein goals and it's on SALE!
Quality is key when it comes to choosing a protein powder. Prime Protein is 100% grass-fed and finished beef protein. It’s like eating 4 ounces of grass-fed beef, but less likely to cause digestive problems that can come with whey protein. No added chemicals, fillers, binding agents, artificial colors or sweeteners. It’s one of the best tasting protein powders I have found that’s not loaded with harmful ingredients.
Take advantage of their protein sale to try it out and let me know what you think!
WHEN: August 17th-19th. 3 days only!
